The funeral service for Assistant Chief Steve Chappell will be held at Preddy Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2024, located at 59 Edgewood School Ln. Madison, VA 22727. The service will begin promptly at 11:00am. At the request of the family, this will be a formal funeral service so first responders, please dress in class A uniform. 

The Celebration of Life will be held at DeSanto Community Hall, behind DCVFD Station 13 on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 4:00pm. Parking will be available in the commuter lot next to the building. At the request of Chief Chappell, this will be a casual event. Food and drinks will be provided.
